Second International Barcode Conference Learn about Taipei DanBIF Conference: This conference which will be held May 29-30, 2007 is funded through a grant from the Danish Natural Science Research Council of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. To learn more, please visit the conference website at http://www.danbif.dk/conference2007 Workshops Leading Labs Meeting: The first "Leading Labs" Meeting is designed to bring together the lab and IT managers from the four leading barcoding centers: Guelph, SI-LAB, STRI and BioCode. The meeting will be held at the University of Guelph on April 12, 2007. All Fungi Barcode Initiative Workshop: The Consortium for the Barcode of Life (CBOL) along with the USDA and Rutgers will convene the All-Fungi Barcode initiative workshop at the Conservation and Research Center in Front Royal, Virginia on 13-15 May, 2007. The workshop is designed to bring together approximately 40 researchers from around the world to facilitate discussion on identifying universally applicable barcode gene regions and to plan a barcode initiative devoted to fungi. The workshop is being supported by a grant to Rutgers University by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Tree of Life-CBOL NESCent Meeting: Duke University, April 19-20, 2007. European Molecular Biology Organization: The EMBO Workshop, entitled "Molecular Diversity and DNA Barcode", will be held in Rome on May 17-20, 2007.
